about

Ishtar is an ancient goddess of Mesopotamia. And the story told here is about an adventurer who seeks this divinity. We live the whole story through him here.

First, the introduction opens with melodies played on a single guitar. Harmonies and scales involved here have oriental and Indian colors, but don't allow us to precisely place the story on a map (Mesopotamia no longer exists). Here, it feels like we're progressively closing in on the Temple.

By the time the first theme starts, we've entered the Temple and are now trying to find the goddess. We can hear her soft voice echoing through the large stone walls in that damp and marvelous place.

When the harmony brightens and the Bridge section opens on the first guitar solo: we've now reached the center of the temple and are taken aback by Ishtar's beauty.

Then the Outro section involves a passionate guitar solo dancing with the goddess' voice: we're making one with Ishtar and are surrounded but her beauty.

In the end, we're back on the chords that began the track. We're drifting away from the temple, living the adventurer inside, where he'll spend eternity at Ishtar's side.

lyrics

From a Knight…

Wandering on the dark sands of Eternity,
Devoted to my quest to honor Thy Beauty.
At the feet of Thy Altar I shall bend the knee,
Eternally serving what mortal souls can't see.
